I bought the zester about three months ago. I didn't use it that often and now the handle came off. It's too bad because the blade itself is actually working really good. Guess I'm gonna have to buy me a new microplane, but this time one of the all metal ones.

Description of Microplane Citrus Tool

The Microplane Yellow Citrus Tool includes Microplane's most popular zester blade. Blade is made out of surgical stainless steel, with razor sharp edges. Soft touch ergonomic handles fit comfortably in the hand. The ultimate citrus tool also includes a scoring blade to assist with peeling, and a two garnishing blades to create citrus twists. Plastic safety cover protects blade while not in use. Dishwasher safe.
